Bob Larkin has released Deathrail, a brand-new deathmatch file for zdoom. It looks like Bob is at it again with unique design concepts and detail usage in his wads. Go check out Bob's Dethrail page HERE. DOWNLOAD.
NEWS8/27/00   If you are a Client-Server Doom fan, make sure to go and get the latest greatest wad specifically designed for deathmatch and csdoom: CSCASTLE.WAD It is the creation of Biffy, a fantastic wad designer. Now playing on the rarefiles.bizland.com server. It has special effects like dropping megaspheres, respawning barrels, and much more. There is great mod music in the wad, custom graphics, underwater areas, and a special layout to make deathmatch great. The wad is also compatible with zdoom as well, so Doomserv players can take advantage of it as well. I was personally involved in the playtesting and development of this wad. I highly recommend this download if you want to experience cutting-edge zdoom and csdoom play.

NEWS8/19/00   There is a tourney open for all Doom players. Look for the Doomserv Tourney Hosted by NightOwl this fall. Details will be found on the MOTD in the DS Tourney Server. The winner of the tourney will receive a nice video card. Make sure to go to the master server and get registration info. The St. Louis server is being converted into a Tournie server. All those involved in a tournament should use this server to play on.

TOP NEWS8/6/00   There is a lot going on, so pay attention:
  • Doomserv has a new release the last beta (they promised). Go HERE to get it. You have to have it to sign on.
  • There is a great new wad out just released by Rishabh Mittal: THE LOST BASE. Get it HERE. It has new graphics, and new music. It is zdoom 1.22 compatible, coop and deathmatch compatible, and has a great single player experience. I played two hours in this wad trying to get through it. It is a blast and a must-have challenge. Hint: use the chainsaw on the first few monsters encountered to save ammo.
  • There is a new csdoom server at rarefiles.bizland.com as well as new additions and page revisions. Playpen2 is now released and available there. It is on their server, and a great deathmatch wad.
  • Bob Larkin, creator of Doom Wad Station and popular wads Deathwish and Elevator, is soon going to release a megawad. He is such a perfectionist in his creations that it is a sin not to have a copy of his work on your hardrive.

NEWS5/20/00   Doomserv is going through a reconstruction at the moment. TGO, the author, was recently concerned about a security issue regarding the use of Doomserv 3.5. There is a beta available here for Windows95 and up users. Don't expect to find a reliable and certain server available at the moment. There will be many more updates, check back and refresh this page! Meanwhile, Doom internet gaming will live on! If you have Zdoom1.22, and want a game real bad, track down your fellow Doom Gods. Follow these instructions, and get ready to have an internet Zdoom game:
